A Single Ladies Wine Tasting
We had a blast at our wine tasting event last month in celebration of Mother’s Day. A group of amazing single women came together not only to learn about some delicious hand-selected wines by sommelier Andru Jones — but to raise money for the local non-profit organization SingleMomsPlanet.
Single Moms Planet is a non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting under-resourced single mom business owners and working mothers nationwide. They build one strong family at a time through comprehensive programs of financial literacy, business development, mentorship, and entrepreneurial training.
With the help and generous donations from our friends and local businesses — One Down Dog Yoga Studio and Lemon Lounge Skincare Studio we were able to create the ultimate self-care raffle basket for our guests that was valued at over $500. With all of the proceeds from the raffle basket ticket sales donated to our fundraiser, we surpassed our initial Instagram goal by an additional $110 — making our final donation amount to $410. Not too shabby for our first fundraiser!

As we mixed and mingled before the official tasting — we enjoyed delectable charcuterie boards hand crafted by our friend Candacethefoodie. The boards consisted of fresh blueberries, ripe strawberries, a mixture of aged cheeses, multi-grain crackers and cured meats that paired well with each wine selection. Additionally, guests were able to clean their palates with the refreshing carbonation from everyone’s favorite mineral water Topo Chico.

Additionally, we would like to extend are deepest gratitude to the wonderful vendors Thais Santiago and Ty’rel Jones that captured every moment of happiness, joy, and sheer thrill.
